A 3 year-old boy fell from a roller coaster in Pennsylvania’s Idlewild and SoakZone in Ligonier.
It remains unclear whether or not the accident occurred as a result of the technical malfunction or the rider’s behavior.
The boy was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh but the parents don’t want to give any information about the child or his condition. The roller coaster has a minimum height requirement of 36 inches. A child under 48 inches must be accompanied by an adult, it was inspected on 6 of August and passed, but it will be closed pending the results of the extended investigation.
It is the third accident at a U.S. amusement park since Sunday when a 10-year-old boy died on a giant water slide at Schlitterbahn Waterpark in Kansas City.
